What is an ALSIN-day?

ALSIN (Association of Liverpool Supporters in the Netherlands) was founded on 1 September 2002. Our aim is to give as many members as possible the opportunity to attend a match at Anfield without any additional costs. We also strive to bring members together and create a community where supporters can share their passion and love for Liverpool FC.

Over the years, ALSIN has become our nickname. We have been officially recognised by Liverpool FC, with this status being renewed annually. This recognition led to our new name and official logo: Official Liverpool Supporters Club of the Netherlands.

What is an ALSIN-day?
Our ALSIN-day represents the spirit of our supporters’ club: bringing Liverpool fans together, creating lasting memories and celebrating our shared passion for Liverpool FC. It is a day where we strengthen the bond between Liverpool supporters in the Netherlands and welcome new fans into our community.

This supporters’ day is open to all our members, as well as international supporters, representatives from Liverpool FC, local fans and anyone who shares our love for the club.

We organise the ALSIN-day every two years, and each edition is a memorable celebration of our shared passion for Liverpool FC.

Looking back at previous editions

  • 2014: Another tournament – this time with Legend Phil Thompson!
  • 2016: The 5-a-side tournament, featuring LFC Foundation clinics and a big celebration in the evening.
  • 2018: Teams from all over Europe, more Foundation clinics, and a special guest appearance by David Fairclough.
  • 2023: (postponed due to COVID) Our 20th anniversary was celebrated in style with an international 5-a-side tournament: the Herman Post Cup. We were joined by Dirk Kuyt, Jasmijn Janssen, The Ragamuffins, and Ragnhild Lund Ansnes!
  • 2025: With special guest John Arne Riise! Music by The Ragamuffins and our Q&A host Ragnhild Lund Asnes made the day complete. And of course, our international 5-a-side tournament (the Herman Post Cup) couldn’t be missed, with teams from Belgium, Germany, France, Austria and the Netherlands.

The Herman Post Cup
In memory of Herman Post Sr., OLSC Netherlands renamed its 5-a-side tournament to the Herman Post Cup. Herman had been part of our club since the very beginning and became a true symbol of what OLSC Netherlands stands for. Known affectionately as Mr. Miyagi thanks to his distinctive appearance, Herman was the heart of the club for many of us. His tireless efforts, contagious enthusiasm, and unwavering love for Liverpool FC helped countless members find their way to OLSC Netherlands.

During ALSIN-day in 2018, many of us said our goodbyes to Herman. Not long after, he sadly passed away. His legacy lives on, especially in this tournament that now proudly bears his name. You'll Never Walk Alone!
