Nieuws vanuit Liverpool
Beste Reds,
De finale is nog maar net gespeeld, maar in Liverpool zijn ze al druk met de voorbereidingen voor het volgende seizoen! Vandaag kregen wij het volgende nieuws vanuit Liverpool.
A raft of European and domestic pre-season fixtures has been announced; including a game against Bradford City which will support former Red, Stephen Darby.
The five pre-season dates are as follows:
- July 11th – Tranmere Rovers v LFC - Prenton Park
- July 14th – Bradford City v LFC - Northern Commercials Stadium
- July 28th – LFC v SSC Napoli – BT Murrayfield
- July 31st – LFC v Olympique Lyonnais - Stade De Genève
- August 6th – LFC v FC Schalke 04 @ Anfield
Pre-season kicks off on Merseyside when the Reds will meet with Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on 11th July.
Jurgen Klopp's men then head to West Yorkshire to the Northern Commercials Stadium where they will play an important match against Bradford City.
The game will benefit the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation which is currently being set-up by Stephen, following his diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease and retirement from football last year.
After their return from playing three games in the USA, the Reds will then head north of the border to Edinburgh to play at BT Murrayfield for the first time, where they will face European rivals, SSC Napoli on 28th July.
Switzerland is the next stop on the LFC pre-season tour when Liverpool will take on Olympique Lyonnais at the Stade de Genève on 31st July.
To round off the pre-season preparations, the Reds will head back to Anfield for a fixture on 6th August which will see the team face FC Schalke 04 in front of the home crowd.
